Urmee often speaks at events on technology, the state of social media, and also issues she feels passionate about, such an inter-faith community relations.

She is also the co-founder of a non-profit to be launched in January 2015 that encourages first-time voting amongst millennials in Britain. The mandate is to be data-driven and snarky, through high-profile contributors and partnerships with leading academic institutions and public bodies .
